Armani Exchange launches new Guildford store

Premium brand of the Italian fashion house will make its Guildford debut at the Friary Shopping centre.

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited (HREIML) announced on Friday that Armani Exchange has taken on a 10 year lease of the 3,500 sq ft unit located on the Upper Level of the centre.

As the younger, trend focused brand of Italian designer Giorgio Armani’s eponymous fashion house, Armani Exchange currently operates six stores in the UK, and is represented across 32 countries worldwide.

Ben Tolhurst, asset manager, Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited commented: “The Armani Exchange is a welcome addition to The Friary Centre. Its premium brand is a complimentary addition to the strong retail offer already available at The Friary, which includes Hollister, Nine West and Kurt Geiger.

“There has been a very positive response from retailers since HREIML’s £40m investment into the repositioning of The Friary Shopping Centre. It has strategically introduced a host of new large format stores complementary to Guildford’s high street retail offer that have been snapped up by Urban Outfitters, Republic and River Island.”

Briant Champion Long are letting agents for The Friary.
