Paul Blum, the chief executive officer of Juicy Couture, has decided to leave his post after just one year.
The decision comes a month after Fifth & Pacific Co. Inc. announced that it was to sell the intellectual property assets of the brand to Authentic Brands Group (ABG) for USD 195 million.
Blum’s appointment last December was part of the company’s bid to improve product categories and lead a global marketing effort towards international expansion.
“It’s been a great year for me personally and professionally,” said Blum, in an interview at Juicy Couture’s head office. “It was a great experience working with Bill McComb and Fifth & Pacific, and taking over where LeAnn Nealz [former president and chief executive officer] really let off. The brand had some good creative momentum and there was a good business opportunity. There was a lot of low hanging fruit”.
