Videocon Telecom, a subsidiary of Videocon group has launched Ayurvedic mobile health service. This is an IVR based Value Added Service (VAS) launched in collaboration with JIVA Ayurveda Group.
For this service Videcon Telecom has partnered with Think Health Services which is a provider of mobile health and wellness services and products.
This service would allow users to speak to certified Ayurveda experts and even order medicines on phone by dialing 535133.
Arvind Bali, Director and CEO, Videocon Telecom said, “We are now pleased to roll out the M Health service for subscribers. With the launch of this service we seek to bring convenient and affordable healthcare services to our consumers. Now with this service, one can access health related help and consultation anywhere and everywhere. Our latest venture into the M-VAS sector is sure to herald more innovations in coming times which will bring greater ease into customers’ lives.”
The medicines will be delivered to their homes across 1300 cities all over India on a Cash-on-Delivery basis. The service is managed through Asia’s largest Ayurveda Telemedicine Center with a panel of over 150 doctors.
A report titled 'Future Thought of Business (FTOB): MVAS', released by Wipro earlier this year said, "mHealth has the potential to improve healthcare access and affordability in India, especially through Remote Diagnostics, Chronic Disease Management and Maternal Care."
