Customer feedback and survey tools website WebEngage has launched a new feature which will enable websites to target users leaving the site. The new feature called ‘Leave Intent Based Targeting’ has been introduced under targeting rules section for surveys and notifications.
With this feature enabled, website owners can choose to display a survey (lead generation questionnaire or any other mini survey) or a notification (push message to display offers etc) to users on the website who are about to leave the website.
At the core of this technology is the detection of the mouse movement of visitors. A pre-configured survey/notification pops up the moment a user is approaching the browser’s close button or moving to a different tab in the browser window.
Enabling this feature would require a website owner to first choose the plan of action for the users leaving the website (survey or notification) and check the leave intent targeting dialogue box.
