Uniqlo to open maiden Australian store
Uniqlo is set to expand into Australia with a Melbourne store slated to open in early 2014.
"Uniqlo has selected Emporium Melbourne, a brand new retail complex in the heart of Melbourne's city centre, as the location for its first official Australian presence," Fast Retailing said in a statement.
The store will cover 2,180 square metres and will be spread across six floors, according to the company.
Fast Retailing said it planned to open ten new stores in the US after it reported a 22 per cent profit hike in July.
Uniqlo's sister brand, GU, is also planning to head abroad with a new store in Shanghai.
