LG’s flagship model— the G2— with its uniquely placed volume rocker and power buttons is all set to launch in India. The device, which was unveiled at the beginning of August, will be launched in India on September 30.
In addition to the button placements, the device wowed the gathered audience with its edge-to-edge display 5.2-inch 1080p display. It is powered by a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor paired with 2GB RAM and a dedicated Graphics RAM, which LG claims reduces the display’s battery by up to 26 percent.
Other features included are a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 2.1-megapixel front facing camera, 16/32GB variants and a 3,000mAh battery, which uses a step design to reduce dead spaces and denser battery to give the maximum capacity.
On the software end, the device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and according to LG is also the first smartphone in the market today to feature 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi playback that reproduces studio-like quality sound, far superior to a CD.
