Victoria’s Secret, along with its sister brand, Pink, will open stores in the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.
The news follows the unveiling of new stores in the Trinity Leeds shopping centre last week, as the American brand looks to monopolise the UK lingerie market after becoming the leading brand in the US.
The store will open next spring on Bluewater’s lower Thames Walk, covering approximately 12,000 sq ft.
Lend Lease, the company behind the Bluewater shopping centre, have so far introduced 24 brands to the centre this year, covering over 56,000 sq ft of retail space. Guy Thomas, head of retail leasing at Lend Lease, said: “So far this year, 24 brands have committed, and a further 21 existing stores have invested in redesigns equating to more than 63,000 sq ft of space.
“Consequently, as we move towards the peak Christmas trading period, more than 165,000 sq ft of Bluewater’s offer will be new or enhanced this year”.
As well as Victoria’s Secret and Pink, retail brands; Topshop, Tommy Hilfiger, Tessuti and Jack Wills have all renovated or opened stores in the shopping centre this year.
