Australia welcomes maiden Topshop store

Hundreds of shoppers queued up overnight to be the first to step into Australia’s very first Topshop/ Topman store.

The first 20 people in the line were rewarded with AUD 100 vouchers to spend in the Chapel Street store.

The Arcadia-owned retailer has been available to Australian consumers for some time via the brand’s website, but as Topshop’s Gordon Richardson explained: "It made sense to have a shop that told the whole story... there's only so much you can do online."

The 1,600 square foot store will stock Topman and Topshop mainline collections as well as the Boutique collection for women and collaborations with London Fashion Week designers including Mary Katrantzou.
