Levi Strauss & Co continues to strengthen its worldwide expansion strategy, promoting Joelle Maher to a newly created position of executive vice president and president of global retail.
According to the fashion and apparel brand, Maher will now be responsible for the merchant’s e-commerce business and retail operations, including company-operated stores, outlets and franchises.
Having previously worked for Gap Inc, Macys Inc, Lord & Taylor and Lucky Brand Jeans, Maher will now look to head up Levi’s global presence in-stores and online.
James Curleigh, a former president and chief executive of Keen Footwear Inc, has also been added to the Levi’s fold as the new executive vice president and president of the Levi’s brand.
Speaking in light of the new appointments, Levi’s president and chief executive Chip Bergh said: “These new leaders have a strong track record of driving results and I’m looking forward to partnering with them to expand our footprint around the globe.”
