Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has taken another stab at the heart of unhealthy eating habits by opening a flagship branch of Recipease - a cookery school, café and food store - in the heart of the Notting Hill Gate foodie scene, with other retailers such as Le Pain Quotidien and Itsu nearby.
The 5,500 square foot store is approximately double the size of its counterparts in Clapham and Brighton.
Cooking enthusiasts will be able to take a class on Vietnamese street food and stock up on the correct equipment to re-create the dish at home, with the possibility of saving some cash if they bring a friend or two.
The Notting Hill Gate flagship boasts a statement store front consisting entirely of modern glass panels - perfect for peeking at the culinary delights inside.
Retail property advisors CWM and CBRE acted for the landlord, and Montague Evans acted for Recipease.
David Sanderson, partner at CWM, told My-Retail Media earlier that the store was entirely unique, adding that: “There’s nothing like Recipease out there with the combination of cooking lessons and café where you can learn to cook a Jamie’s favourite meal or just take a ready made one on the way home”.
The store can be found on the corner of Notting Hill Gate and Pembridge Road.
