The PVH Corp. owned Tommy Hilfiger Group have announced the opening of a Tommy Hilfiger store in Kuwait City.
The store, which is operated by Apparel Group, the exclusive partner of Tommy Hilfiger in the Gulf Cooperation, is located in the Kuwait Avenues Mall on 5th Ring Road.
The store is just one in a string of Tommy Hilfiger stores being opened in key shopping destinations worldwide, with the brand already exploiting lucrative markets in; Hong Kong, Beijing, New York, Paris, London and Tokyo. In total, Tommy Hilfiger has 1,200 stores worldwide in 90 countries.
“I’m thrilled to open a new store in Kuwait City and further expand our brand’s presence in the Middle East,” Tommy Hilfiger said. “The store perfectly captures our preppy heritage, and represents an exciting opportunity to share our classic, American, cool lifestyle brand with shoppers in Kuwait city”.
Tommy Hilfiger aren’t the only ones looking to exploit buying up retail property in the Middle Eastern city however. Harvey Nichols, Victoria’s Secret, and Kate Spade, have all made lucrative deals in the capital, which was in the top five growth markets for fashion retail back in 2011.
