Timberland launched first e-commerce website in Ireland

Timberland launched their first ever e-commerce website in Ireland on July 15th. The new website offers Irish shoppers the ability to buy Timberland products directly from the web. It is an easy to use dynamic interactive site with a fresh design and an emphasis on social networking.

The Timberland Ireland site will carry a broad selection of men’s, women’s and kids footwear and men’s apparel. It will allow users to navigate through lifestyle focused categories and click on “shoppable” images in promotional banners, much like a store front window.

More than just an online store, Timberlandireland.ie has products and values interwoven throughout – aiming not only to increase sales for Timberland but also to raise awareness about the brand, the products and the company’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship.

The site also is an important resource for the company’s brick-and-mortar stores. Some visitors many “window shop” online and purchase at a store, or while shopping in a store customers could be referred to the website to view the complete product selection.

The shopper will have the ability to sign up for regular ezines and up to date offers. Packaging used will be biodegradable consistent with the brands core green values. Shipping will be free within Ireland.
