Woodland has launched a range of shirts with battery operated cooling panels under the collar that will help keep the wearer cool. The technology has been provided by a US-based, scientist from NASA under a royalty agreement.
The detachable cooling panels work for 6-8 hours on a single (rechargeable) battery charge, and are being made at Hyderabad under a third party manufacturing agreement. The new products - launched in Pune - cost between Rs 6,000 and Rs 10,000. The company is also working on products that can keep the wearer warm.
