Google planning to open its Android Nation store in India

Google is planning to open its Android Nation store in India, in partnership with Singapore based Spice Global. The first store will open later this year at Select City Mall in Delhi and will then be rolled out across the country. The store will promote and sell Android smartphones and tablets across multiple brands like Samsung, HTC, LG, etc. Also, the co-branded products of Spice and China’s smartphone brand Coolpad, will be available at Android Nation. Spice Global now plans to convert 50 out of its 900 Spice Hotspots, selling mobile phones and accessories, into Android Nation stores.

India is now the second Asian country where Google will open its Android Nation Store after Indonesia where it opened last year. Google will face competition from Apple and Microsoft stores already present in India.
