When it came time for Versace to unveil the Spring 2018 collection, fashion fans and purveyors alike went wild for the major supermodel return to the runway as well as the fashion house’s most iconic prints and pieces to date. This season, Donatella Versace paid tribute to her late brother Gianni, who passed away 20 years ago. If you’re like us and can’t bear the thought of waiting another six month to grab hold of the latest collection, another option has just hit the internet as e-tailer Farfetch
has teamed up with the London-based boutique William Vintage to bring forth 500 pieces of vintage Gianni Versace-era pieces.
"As a business, we want to celebrate the best curators (boutiques) and creators (brands) of luxury fashion from all over the world," says Candice Fragis, buyer and merchandising director for Farfetch. "We already have a fantastic vintage offer and only work with the best specialists in the business, and in London, William Vintage is the most prolific."
Over the past two decades, the founder of William Vintage, William Banks Blaney has been steadily collecting Gianni’s collections starting from his first collection in 1977 to his last show in the Fall of 1997. The exclusive lineup housed on the site features everything from a Medusa-studded leather jacket to a plaid and animal-printed skirt, along with chain belts and boldly printed scarves.
While prices may be steep, the collection is available to shop now if you’re looking to snag one of Gianni’s greatest hits.
