eCommerce Marketing Startup Noida-Based BetaOut Raises $500K Via Snapdeal Co Founders
Noida-based e-commerce marketing software startup Betaout, has raised $500,000 or Rs 3.2 crore in seed round of funding from group of angel investors including Snapdeal cofounders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal.
Other angel investors in this round include Anupam Mittal of People Group, Phanindra Sama – co-founder of redBus, Pallav Nadhani of Fusion Charts, Girish Mathrubootham of Freshdesk, Vishay Shekhar Sharma of Paytm, and Amit Ranjan of Slideshare among others.
The startup will use the fundings to invest in technology and sales efforts. Notably, Betaout got accolades and recognition when in last month the startup got selected for Techstars 2015 summer batch. Techstars is a well-known and prestigious mentorship-driven startup accelerator in US which this year received nearly a thousand applicants across the globe and interviewed hundreds of companies before selecting the final 10 and Betaout is one of the finalists and only candidature from India.
The company is currently being accelerated at TechStars where it is building up its sales team. Launched in April this year, Betaout has developed an all-in-one marketing personalisation and engagement platform that builds comprehensive user intelligence database. Betaout has a plug and play solution that collects customer interaction data across all devices. With these data points it builds master marketing profiles of every customer. Then it provides customer segmentation tools and multiple marketing tools like emails, sms, on-site engagement, live chat etc to engage customer with the right message at the right time.
Clients of Betaout includes some of the largest e-commerce and B2C companies in India and US, including Paytm, Goibibo, Mauj, Viacom US etc. Currently, the startup is managing over 20 million customer profiles and are sending more than 50 million emails per month. The company has been founded by Ankit Maheshwari,Raghubir Thakur, Arjun Maheshwari and Nandini Rathi
