Mumbai-based startup HandyHome which allows users’ book brand’s authorized repairs and other services for electronics alliances, has raised $0.5 million in seed round. The investors are Bessemer Venture Partners (Investers of Skype, LinkedIn. Snapdeal, Taxi For Sure) and Kae Capital (Investors in Myntra and founded by Sasha Mirchandani). The investment was principally agreed in April and was finally closed in the first week of June.
Using these funds, the company want to ramp up to 800+ transactions by the next month. Within the next 2 months, it aim to expand to 10 different cities including Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai. Currently, it has 35 members in its team and aims to grow the team size into 100+ people by the end of this year.
Founded in January 2015 by 6 IIT Bombay graduates – Akash Goel, Manthan Shah, Aditya Gupta, Kartikeya Datt, Bonish Gandhi and Harmin Shah. It offer a complete end-to-end solution for the existing poor condition of after sales services, and eliminate multiple pain points like finding and calling the call centre number, waiting on long call queues, and solve the problem of transparency and timeliness. The startup has also launched its Android app in the first week of March.
One can order a repair in a couple of clicks by selecting the appliance, brand and few basic details. The brand’s authorized service technician will be at his/her doorstep. It cover over 40 appliances on its platform.
