Online healthcare marketplace Healthians.com has raised funding from cricketer Yuvraj Singh's investment fund YouWeCan Ventures.
The Gurgaon-based startup, founded by Deepak Sahni, aggregates diagnostic labs, crowd sourced sample collectors, doctors and also makes patients' medical records available online.
"Having gone through life threatening medical condition, I'm extremely keen to promote preventive healthcare in India. While most of us today have an online social profile or an online professional profile, there's a large need to use technology to create & track individual health profile. I'm excited to see Healthians trying to solve this problem" said Yuvraj Singh.
The startup had previously raised funding from Noida-based healthcare startup focused accelerator Healthstart.
Healthians has also developed a self-assessment software called HealthiansPLUS to help users submit questions online which can be answered by doctors on the platform. The service also maintains a user's personal health score, recommends future health checks, and tracks each user's health over time.
The company currently operates only in the Delhi NCR region, but is in the process of launching a network of over 1000 Healthians' branded labs in over 20 cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai. The platform also plans to tie up with 2000 pharmacy stores to help offer medicine sales to their customers.
This is the fourth investment made by Yuvraj Singh's YouWeCan Ventures since its launch in April 2015. In April the company invested in Vyomo, a mobile-based beauty and wellness platform. Earlier this month, the fund also invested in logistics booking platform Moovo and online education services marketplace EduKart.com.
