Zinc futures down by 0.15 pc on global cues
Zinc prices moved down by 0.15 per cent in futures trade today, in tandem with a weakening trend on the London Metal Exchange(LME).
On the Multi Commodity Exchange , zinc for delivery in June fell by 15 paise, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 101.40 per kg with a business turnover of 477 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July also eased by a similar margin to Rs 102.50 per kg with a trading volume of 27 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in zinc futures to a weak trend in base metals on the LME and sluggish demand in the domestic spot market.
On the London Metal Exchange , zinc fell by 0.4 per cent to USD 2,271 a tonne.
