Furniture retailer Lema is to open a new flagship at 183 Kings Road this spring – designed by Piero Lissoni. It will stock both brand lines – Lema Casa and Lema Contract, and will cover 400 square metres over two floors, and will be decorated in a chic, Mediterranean style.
A variety of international designers will be stocked, such as Christopher Pillet, Raw Edges, Nendo, Neri & Hu and Gordon Guillaumier, and the brand ideal of relaxed living will evoked. A made-to-measure service is available, and an atelier for interior designers and architects who will offer advice and help develop projects. It is the latest new-store investment by Lema, which has previously launched in Melbourne, Taiwan, Beijing, Miami, Los Angeles and New York. President of the brand Angelo Meroni stated:
“London is a crucial location on the international market right now, with its concentration of key players – the contract market; the most influential architectural practices working around the world; property developers involved in major projects. Our presence here represents a strategic investment for the Group, one that aims at increasing Lema’s partnerships on the international market and establishing the brand firmly on the international high-end furniture scene.”
