Harvey Jones Kitchens opens first store in shopping centre
Harvey Jones, the seller of handmade kitchens, is to launch its first shopping centre-located store, in line with plans to double the amount of branches in the next five years. The store will be in the Centre MK in Milton Keynes, next to John Lewis, and is to be the 31st showroom – the first to open seven days a week and in the evening.
The space itself will cover 775 square feet, and will stock the full range of kitchen goods and concepts, including three sets of every collection. Harvey Jones is planning to air television adverts on Sky next year, as part of its expansion campaign. It is predicted that they will report a total sales figure of £17.5 million for 2014.
Chief executive John Curwen stated, “We are excited about opening our 31st showroom in Milton Keynes - our first showroom in a shopping mall. The opening comes at an exciting time for Harvey Jones - 2014 has seen growth across all fronts - with both sales and showroom roll outs up year-on-year.” He continued “While the December showroom opening brings to a conclusion a successful year, we are also excited about 2015 and beyond, as we seek to double our showroom estate over the next five years.”
