With London Fashion Week just a few days away, Topshop this morning revealed it has been plotting a ‘fashion week first’ for its Unique SS15 collection, by presenting it exclusively on Facebook instead of using a traditional catwalk presentation.
Immediately after the close of its runway show, Topshop will reveal what it describes as its “most social catwalk show yet”, streaming the presentation live through its Facebook platform on Sunday 14th September at 3PM GMT.
What’s more, it will also be the retailer’s first click-to-buy collection, offering shoppers the chance to purchase a piece they’ve just seen on the runway whilst watching it live on topshop.com.
As if that didn’t prove its social credentials, the fast-fashion giant is also bringing Instagram into the fold, with five instagrammers snapping photos live from the Topshop show to provide yet another angle of its SS15 presentation.
For those out and about, the retailer’s Oxford Street flagship store will also be hosting a live stream from its front window.
