UK fashion retailer French connection has plans to open its first “convenience store” next week in London. It will be called “F' and will cover 1,000-square-feet in Old Street underground and train station. The stock selection will be an edit of the brand's fall 2014 collection, as well as gift items.
A click and collect service will also be on offer, where shoppers may collect items from the store that they have ordered online. French Connection have also taken advantage of the areas reputation as a creative hub – by inviting local artists to curate the store window displays.
The shop is to be trialled for a four-month period and the company is considering opening other branches at different transport hubs. They have partnered with Appear Here, a brand which helps firms find vacant UK retails space to open pop-up stores, and also with Transport for London, to open the space.
