Selfridges launch The Masters campaign

Selfridges has recently launched a new Autumn campaign called ‘The Masters’ which aims to explore the pioneers and creatives of the current fashion landscape. These ‘Masters’ are deemed  true icons at the top of their game, and the project will showcase their work to specially crafted fashion films.

These masters are: Azzedine Alaïa, The Master of Architecture, Dries Van Noten, The Master of the Eclectic, Jean Paul Gaultier, The Master of Expression, Jun Takahashi of Undercover, The Master of Subversion, Marc Jacobs, The Master of Mood, Oscar de la Renta, The Master of Elegance, Paul Smith, The Master of Inspiration, Rick Owens, The Master of the Elements, Roberto Cavalli, The Master of Glamour, Thom Browne, The Master of Showmanship. Stella McCartney, The Master of Modernity. Yohji Yamamoto, The Master of Defiance.

As part of the project, the department store has formed a partnership with Rick Owens  the Master of the Elements in order to promote ‘The World of Rick Owens’, which comes 20 years after the creation of the fashion label. The world of Rick will completely take over the London Concept Store and will include a 20 piece collection designed specifically for Selfridges, including a 25 foot Rick Owens statue to sit above the store’s canopy.
