Kmart and Sears have launched a new scheme where customers may collect orders from sears.com and kmart.com at the other brand’s store. This collaboration is sure to be popular as Imran Jooma executive vice president of Sears Holdings detailed on:
"Sears was the first broadline retailer to provide the convenience of free buy online pick up in store more than 12 years ago, and we continue to introduce integrated offerings to help our members shop on their own terms. Leveraging the breadth of both Sears and Kmart's online and in-store networks means more convenience for members and opens an even wider brand-name product selection available to fans of both stores."
If a shopper was to purchase stationery from Kmart, but only had a branch of Sears nearby, this would make life much easier for them, and encourage them to purchase in the first place. Vice versa when coveting a specific Sears item. This free service will certainly help current customers with their shopping ,and bring in new ones too.
