River Island to open first Swedish Store

River Island is to open its first Swedish store in Stockholm’s shopping centre Gallerian in a 12,593 sq ft flagship unit.

The fashion retailer, which trades across 320 stores in 14 countries and is known for its bright colours, will trade alongside Scandinavia’s best performing Hollister in the new extension to the south of the centre that opened in 2011.

“We believe that Gallerian will offer us the best stage to launch to the fast growing Swedish market, with its impressive footfall and central location,” said a River Island spokesperson.
