The Two Sisters Food Group has revealed that it has made a "multi-million" pound expansion deal which will generate 90 jobs.
The company plans to expand its ready meals plant in Carlisle, which consists of an addition of a new 8000-sqaure-foot production facility at its Riverbank site.
Scheduled for completion by September 2014, the new facility should increase the production volume of the ready meals by an additional ten million a year.
The site will hold 25 additional product lines in the ‘Ready to Cook' fish meal category.
The group hopes to invest further in potato cooking and mash processing equipment, including a sauce cooking capability, two more production lines and brand new chilled storage facilities.
