Actresses Prachi Desai and Gauhar Khan walked the ramp as showstoppers wearing glamorous creations by Indian designers at Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014 here.
Known for creating the exotic red-carpet creations worn by many Bollywood stars, Sonaakshi Raaj presented her collection “A Broadway Affair” on day four of fashion week.
The collection comprised skirts teamed with cropped tops, high-waist pants with bustiers, gowns, pre-stitched draped saris with corsets, lacy blouses and a halter gold bustier in shades of white, beige, light blue and tomato red.
Wearing a stunning corset and molded draped sari, Desai turned showstopper for Raaj.
Another designer, Ken Ferns, created a floral fantasy for his garments through his collection, called “Secret Garden.”
The silhouettes were ultra feminine with cropped tops, pleated shorts, floppy sleeves for asymmetric tunics, and maxi skirts teamed with blouses for women.
Menswear was a lineup of shorts, printed pants, shirts and muscle-sleeved tunics. The designer used colors like blue, white, turquoise, green, pink and lime green.
Ferns chose as his showstopper Khan, who wore a printed corset with a long pencil skirt seductively slit at the back.
