Finding a standout look for the wedding season just got a little easier, especially if your taste veers towards the kitsch styling of Manish Arora.
The designer recently launched his digital storefront at ManishArora.com powered by online retail partner Exclusively.in, which customers can use to pick from his ethnic line, Indian by Manish Arora, or shop the Paris Fashion Week A/W '13-14 collection from his namesake label.
The official announcement was timed to coincide with Arora's fashion show at the 15th anniversary entertainment gala of the Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC), held last Thursday in New York.
"It feels great to debut my Indian collection in New York City as we launch my website," the designer Said at the event. "New York is such a fun, hip and fast city. There's no other place that screams accessibility… and we're excited to keep the buzz going."
Interestingly, the site also allows shoppers to customise garments and choose from runway looks that might not be readily available online, adding the advantage of bespoke service to the boutique.
Apart from garments featuring Arora's signature acid colours and psychedelic prints, the boutique also retails his popular jewellery collection, Manish Arora for Amrapali, and a line of accessories, including belts, iPad cases and bags. Prices start at Rs 8,965 for clothing and Rs 6,000 for jewellery and accessories.
