Tamara Mellon is best known for her invaluable contribution to women's shoe shelves everywhere, being the founder and former creative officer of luxury brand Jimmy Choo. Now she's keen to be known as a designer in her own right, having launched her eponymous label of glamourous evening wear. In keeping with Mellon's own sensibilities, the line is packed with leopard print and leather, offset by the odd silk shirt and crepe pants. The most curious attraction in the current offering, available on Net-a-porter.com, are a pair of leather 'legging boots' where the shoe is literally attached to the leggings. At $3,528, it's also the most expensive piece in the e-commerce site's collection at the moment, which makes one marvel at Mellon's bold optimism.
